Renovations funded by the CRA for $317,260 were completed in 2011 to downtown’s newest, “open-air”  entertainment venue.  The 1,200 foot stage is decorated with a fabric, “Boat Sail-style” canopy, illuminated by theater lighting and the wall facing out to the audience features a colorful mosaic of handcut glass titled, “The Mangrove Canopy.”  The Amphitheater is now a popular gathering place and location for the Movies on the Avenue and Ocean Avenue Concert series.
